Ávila

Madrigal de las Altas Torres es un municipio y una localidad de España perteneciente a la provincia de Ávila, en la comunidad autónoma de Castilla y León. Se trata de uno de los pueblos más significativos de la comarca de La Moraña, situada en el norte de la provincia. En 2017 el municipio contaba con una población de 1464 habitantes (767 hombres y 736 mujeres).

Es conocido por haber nacido aquí la reina Isabel I de Castilla (Isabel la Católica) el 22 de abril de 1451. También en la ciudad nació Vasco de Quiroga (en 1472), que llegó a ser el primer obispo de Michoacán, Mëxico.
