Alquife es una localidad y municipio español situado en la parte meridional de la comarca de Guadix, en la provincia de Granada, comunidad autónoma de Andalucía. Limita con los municipios de La Calahorra, Aldeire, Lanteira, el Valle del Zalabí y Jérez del Marquesado —estos dos últimos limitan por un exclave que tiene Alquife, conocido como "El Berral"—. Otras localidades cercanas son Albuñán, Cogollos de Guadix y Ferreira.

El municipio alquifeño es una de las diez entidades que componen la mancomunidad del Marquesado del Zenete, y comprende los núcleos de población de Alquife —capital municipal—, Virgen de Begoña (o Begoña), San Hermenegildo, San Antonio y Minas del Marquesado.
